A ski erg drill: pull both handles from overhead down to your hips with nearly straight arms and only a slight forward lean. Unlike the full ski erg stroke, it leaves out the hip hinge and elbow bend and works the lats alone.

Also known as: Ski Erg Pullover, Ski Erg Pullover Pull, Ski Erg Straight Arm Pull

How to do the Ski Erg Straight Arm Pulldown

  1. Stand on the platform, a handle in each hand, arms overhead.
  2. Keep your elbows nearly straight and a slight knee bend.
  3. Sweep both handles down in an arc to your hips.
  4. Return the handles overhead slowly along the same arc.
Full technique — 6 steps
  1. Stand on the ski erg platform facing the machine with feet about hip-width apart and a slight knee bend.
