## How to do the Resistance Band Jump Squat

1. Band above knees, feet hip width, hands clasped at chest.
2. Dip into a shallow squat, pushing knees into the band.
3. Jump straight up, hands staying at your chest.
4. Land quietly with knees bent and pushed out.

### Full technique — 7 steps

1. Place a mini band around both legs just above your knees and stand with feet about hip width apart.
2. Clasp your hands in front of your chest and push your knees out against the band.
3. Dip quickly into a shallow squat by bending your hips and knees together.
4. Keep your hands clasped at your chest and drive your feet hard into the floor to jump straight up.
5. Reach full extension through hips, knees, and ankles as you leave the ground.
6. Land on the balls of your feet, then bend your hips and knees to absorb the landing.
7. Keep your knees pushed out against the band on landing, then flow into the next rep.

## Common mistakes

- Knees collapsing inward on landing
- Jumping forward instead of upward
- Dropping into a deep squat
- Hard, noisy landings
- Stopping short of full hip extension
- Letting the band slide down the legs

## Form cues

- Use a quick dip
- Jump straight up
- Land quietly
- Knees point where feet point
