### Full technique — 7 steps

1. Lie on your back with both legs straight along the floor.
2. Bend one knee and bring that thigh up until it points toward the ceiling.
3. Hold the back of the raised thigh with both hands.
4. Slowly straighten the knee, pushing your heel toward the ceiling, until you feel a stretch along the back of your thigh.
5. Keep the other leg straight and flat on the floor and your head resting down.
6. Hold the stretch while breathing steadily, without bouncing.
7. Bend the knee, lower the leg to the floor, and switch sides.

## Common mistakes

- Pulling aggressively on the leg
- Lifting the floor leg off the ground
- Lifting the head and shoulders off the floor
- Forcing the raised knee straight

## Form cues

- Reach only to tension
- Push heel toward ceiling
- Keep other leg flat
- Keep pressure tolerable
