## How to do the Kettlebell Split Squat

1. Hold kettlebells at your sides.
2. Stand with one leg forward, back heel raised.
3. Lower your body until your back knee nearly touches the floor.
4. Push through your front foot to return to the starting position.
5. Finish reps, then switch sides.

### Full technique — 7 steps

1. Stand tall holding a kettlebell in each hand at your sides with your arms straight.
2. Step one foot forward and one foot back, keeping your hips squared.
3. Keep most of your weight over the front foot and rise onto the ball of the back foot.
4. Tighten your stomach and lower straight down until the back knee nears the floor.
5. Let the front knee travel forward naturally while keeping the front heel planted.
6. Drive through the whole front foot to stand back up without stepping out of position.
7. Finish tall in the split stance, then complete all reps before switching sides.
