## How to do the Kettlebell Lateral Raise

1. Stand tall, holding a kettlebell in one hand at your side.
2. Keep your elbow straight and raise the arm out to the side.
3. Stop when your arm reaches shoulder height.
4. Lower the kettlebell slowly along the same path.
5. Repeat on one side, then switch arms to match the repetitions.

### Full technique — 6 steps

1. Stand tall with feet about hip width apart, holding a kettlebell in one hand at your side.
2. Straighten the working elbow fully and let your free arm hang relaxed.
3. Tighten your stomach and keep your shoulders level before starting the raise.
4. Raise the arm out to the side until it reaches shoulder height.
5. Lower the kettlebell back to your side along the same path with steady control.
6. Finish all reps on one side, then switch arms and match the same standard.

## Common mistakes

- Swinging the torso for momentum

- Leaning away from the working arm
- Shrugging the shoulder upward
- Raising well above shoulder height

## Form cues

- Elbow stays straight
- Stop at shoulder height
- Keep shoulders level
- Keep torso quiet
