## How to do the Goblet Front Foot Elevated Split Squat

1. Front foot on the step, dumbbell held at your chest.
2. Lower straight down under control.
3. Drive through front foot to stand.
4. Finish reps, then switch sides.

### Full technique — 7 steps

1. Hold one dumbbell upright against your chest with both hands, elbows pointing down.
2. Put your front foot flat on a low step and your rear foot on the floor behind you, heel raised.
3. Tighten your stomach and keep your torso tall.
4. Lower straight down by bending the front knee and hip until the back knee nears the floor.
5. Keep the front heel planted on the step as your front knee travels forward.
6. Drive through the front foot to stand back up.
7. Complete all reps on one side, then switch legs and repeat.

## Common mistakes

- Pushing off the rear foot instead of loading the front leg.
- Front heel lifting off the step
- Letting the front knee cave inward during the descent and drive.
- Letting the dumbbell drift away from your chest
- Stopping well above usable depth

## Form cues

- Lower straight down
- Front foot stays planted
- Torso stays tall
- Elbows down and in
- Rear leg stays light
