2. Support yourself on your hand and top foot to control pressure.

4. Pause on tender spots, breathe deeply, and avoid your hip or knee.
5. Repeat the process on the other outer thigh to balance out.

### Full technique — 8 steps

1. Lie on one side with the foam roller under the outer thigh of the bottom leg.
2. Prop yourself on a straight arm and your top foot to control how much bodyweight presses down.
3. Start near the upper outer thigh, keeping the roller below the hip bone.
4. Roll slowly down the outer thigh until just above the outside of the knee.
5. Move back and forth through that range, shifting slightly to find tighter lateral thigh areas.
6. When you find a tender spot, stop there briefly and breathe without tensing up.
7. Avoid rolling onto the knee joint or directly onto the bony point of the hip.
8. Switch sides and repeat the same pass on the other outer thigh.

## Common mistakes

- Rolling directly over the knee

- Moving too fast to find tight spots
- Rolling onto the front thigh
- Tensing instead of breathing

## Form cues
