## How to do the Dumbbell Overhead Sit-Up

2. Hold one dumbbell by both ends, arms straight over your chest.
3. Sit up until upright, arms straight, dumbbell ending overhead.
4. Lower back down under control, dumbbell returning over your chest.

### Full technique — 7 steps

1. Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
2. Hold one dumbbell by both ends and raise it over your chest with arms straight.
3. Tighten your stomach and keep your elbows straight for the whole set.
4. Exhale and sit up by curling your torso off the floor, keeping your arms pointing straight up.
5. Continue until your torso is upright and the dumbbell is overhead, arms in line with your torso.
6. Lower your torso to the floor under control, bringing the dumbbell back over your chest.
7. Keep your feet on the floor and reset the bottom position before the next rep.
