## How to do the Barbell Reverse Lunge

1. Place the barbell across your upper back, unrack it, and stand tall.
2. Step one leg back and bend both knees until your back knee lowers.
3. Drive through front foot to stand.
4. Bring your feet together, then switch legs.

### Full technique — 8 steps

1. Set the barbell on a rack at upper-chest height and position it across your upper back.
2. Unrack the bar, step back from the rack, and stand tall with feet about hip width.
3. Tighten your stomach and keep your torso tall.
4. Step one leg straight back and land on the ball of that foot.
5. Lower until both knees are bent deeply and your back knee hovers just above the floor.
6. Keep your front foot flat and let your front knee point where your foot points.
7. Drive through the front foot to stand back up.
8. Bring the back foot forward to meet the front foot, then alternate legs.

## Common mistakes

- Taking steps too short
- Pushing off the back foot
- Letting knees cave inward
- Letting the torso fold forward
- Stopping well above full depth

## Form cues
