## How to do the Barbell Front Rack Lunge

1. Stand tall, the bar across the front of your shoulders.
2. Step forward with one leg, bending both knees to lower your body.
3. Keep your front knee pointing the same way as your front foot.
4. Push off your front foot to return to the starting position.
5. Finish reps, then switch sides.

### Full technique — 8 steps

1. Set the bar in a rack at upper-chest height and take a grip just outside shoulder width.
2. Unrack the bar to the front rack, then step back with feet about hip width apart.
3. Hold the bar across the front of your shoulders, elbows pointing down, and tighten your stomach.
4. Take a long step forward with one leg.
5. Lower straight down until both knees bend and your back knee approaches the floor.
6. Keep your front foot flat and your front knee pointing the same way as that foot.
7. Drive through the whole front foot to push yourself back to the starting position.
8. Complete all reps on one side before switching legs.
