# Barbell Curtsy Lunge

2. Step one leg back and across behind the other, shifting your weight forward.
3. Lower until your front thigh is near parallel and your back knee moves downward.
4. Drive through front foot to stand.
5. Stand tall, then switch legs for the next rep.

### Full technique — 8 steps

1. Place the bar across your upper traps or rear delts, then grip it evenly.
2. Stand tall with feet about hip width apart and your weight spread evenly.
3. Shift weight onto one leg, then step the other leg back and across behind it.
4. Lower until the front thigh approaches parallel while the back knee drops toward the floor.
5. Keep most of your weight over the front leg, front knee pointing where your front foot points.
6. Tighten your stomach and keep your torso tall.
7. Drive through the front foot to stand back up and bring the rear leg forward.
8. Alternate legs each rep, stepping the other leg back and across.
