## How to do the Alternating Resistance Band High-to-Low Chest Press

1. Stand facing away from a high anchor, one foot forward, handles at your shoulders.
2. Press one handle forward and down until your arm is straight.
3. Return it to your shoulder slowly, then press with the other arm.
4. Keep your torso facing forward as you press and release the handles.

### Full technique — 7 steps

1. Anchor the middle of the band above head height and face away from it, holding one handle in each hand.
2. Take a split stance with a slight knee bend and step out until the band is taut.
3. Bring both handles beside your shoulders with palms facing down and elbows bent.
4. Tighten your stomach and keep your shoulders down and back before pressing.
5. Press one handle forward and down until the arm is straight and the hand is in front of your lower abdomen.
6. Return that handle to your shoulder under band tension while the other hand holds its position.
7. Press the other handle the same way, alternating arms without letting your torso rotate.

## Common mistakes

- Torso rotating during reps
- Leaning into the press
- Pressing straight ahead instead of downward
- Shrugging shoulders toward ears
- Uneven arm extension between sides

## Form cues
